Getting Rid of Spyware, Adware and Malware |
| Yes, we
are aware that someone is using a
variation on our business name to spread advertising across
the internet to your Windows computer. And that it is extremely
hard to get rid of. Numerous calls and e-mails have been
received. Many of you have lost productivity and money due
to this. Unfortunately our good name has been affected as
well. We're all frustrated, annoyed, and downright angry.
Well except for the ones lining their coffers at our expense. What can we do? Firstly, to take care of the immediate problem of this awful adware on your machine, it's recommended that you either try Symantec's instructions for removal (if you have one of their tools at your disposal), or try these manual instructions. If you know of a better method or website, please let us know and we will post it here. Second, how can you prevent the adware from affecting you again? While some solutions are listed at the Spyware Guide, we recommend getting yourself a Mac from Apple, makers of the iPod, to replace your Windows PC. They are powerful and elegant computers, and we've never experienced adware, spyware, malware or viruses on any of our Macs. Third, what can we do about the companies causing all these problems? If you know of any legal actions being taken, please let us know. We've got some evidence to provide. |
